Hyderabad, Feb 15 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, addressed on Sunday the misunderstanding surrounding his statement 'Nene Raju, Nene Mantri' (I am the king, I am the minister).

He emphasized that his comment was meant to indicate his accountability as both Chief Minister and Minister for Municipal Administration regarding the municipal election outcomes.

The remark was made during a media interaction in New Delhi on Friday, where he noted a lack of competition for the Chief Minister's position, both within state politics and the Congress party.

During the Sant Sevalal Jayanti celebrations at Banjara Bhavan in Hyderabad on Sunday, he reiterated that his statement was specifically about municipal elections.

Revanth Reddy stressed that he does not view himself as a ruler, declaring his commitment to serving the people.

The Chief Minister stated that the Congress party achieved an impressive 85 to 90 percent success rate in the municipal elections.

He asserted that he is not one to become arrogant in victory or disheartened in defeat. His focus remains on working for the underprivileged.

“Some individuals believe they are destined to rule,” he remarked, directing his comments towards opposition leaders.

He paid homage to Sant Sevalal, recognizing him as a guiding figure for the 15 crore Lambada community across the nation.

He highlighted the significant role played by the Lambada community in the Telangana movement, noting that the Congress government has committed to officially celebrating Sevalal Jayanti.

He emphasized the need to prioritize and respect tribal and Dalit communities.

Revanth Reddy reflected on his 20-year political journey, acknowledging the unwavering support he has received from the Lambada community.

He announced initiatives to construct bitumen roads in all Thandas (tribal hamlets) across the state, asserting that essential road infrastructure must reach these communities.

He advocated for the establishment of a government school and Gram Panchayat building in each Thanda.

Plans are underway to provide electricity to tribal hamlets via solar power.

He noted that it was former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi who initiated reservations for tribal communities and allocated land to them.

While acknowledging that the current government lacks land for distribution, he affirmed that efforts for tribal welfare are ongoing. "The government is committed to providing quality education. Tribal students must strive for academic excellence," he stated.

He outlined the measures taken by the government to support marginalized communities.

He expressed a desire to include individuals from backward sections of society in governance.

Despite the Scheduled Castes representing 15 percent of the population, he pointed out that they have been allocated 30 percent of government positions.

He noted that members of the SC community hold four ministerial positions and the role of Assembly Speaker.
