A Government Order was issued by the Planning Department recently, announcing that Telangana has launched a long-term development program called ‘Telangana Rising: Vision 2047’. This vision aims to create a transformative strategy for the state over the next 25 years, focusing on inclusive economic growth, sustainable development, and equitable opportunities for all citizens.
The Government Order outlines that the council will oversee and guide the formation of strategies, engage in virtual reviews of crucial areas such as economic planning, sustainability, social empowerment, governance, and innovation.
It is also tasked with suggesting successful practices from within India and internationally that align with the state's developmental aims. The advisory council will provide expert counsel to ensure that the vision remains actionable, inclusive, and progressive, considering Telangana's distinct socio-economic landscape. It will particularly focus on policies directed at three key groups: youth, women, and farmers.
The advisory council aims to help Telangana reach its goal of becoming a trillion-dollar economy while transitioning towards a net-zero, climate-resilient growth model.
Additionally, it will support the establishment of transparent, empowered, and citizen-centric governance institutions.
