Vijayawada, Nov 11 (NationPress) Tragically, four young lives were lost when a fast-moving car overturned in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh early Tuesday morning. The incident took place on the national highway close to Gandigunta in Vuyyuru mandal, as reported by local police. The vehicle flipped onto the service road; fortunately, it did not collide with any other vehicle.

Of the four occupants, three died instantly at the scene, while the fourth victim passed away later at a hospital. Law enforcement arrived promptly and initiated an investigation. Initial findings suggest that excessive speed was the primary cause of the tragic accident.

The individuals who lost their lives hailed from Konduru village near Vijayawada. They were identified as Konatama Chintaiah (17), Chatragadda Rakesh Babu (24), Prince Babu (23), and Goriparti Bapanaiah (24).

In a related incident, passengers aboard a private travel bus narrowly escaped disaster when their vehicle caught fire on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway early Tuesday. The bus, en route to Kandukur from Hyderabad, ignited suddenly near Pittampally in the Chityala mandal of Telangana’s Nalgonda district.

The driver detected smoke rising from the engine and swiftly halted the bus, alerting all 29 passengers who evacuated just in time. The entire vehicle was consumed by flames before firefighters arrived. Police are conducting further investigations.

Recent weeks have witnessed a disturbing trend of road accidents involving buses in the Telugu states. A head-on collision between an RTC bus and a tipper truck in Telangana's Rangareddy district resulted in 19 fatalities on November 3. The truck, overloaded with construction materials, collided with the bus traveling from Tandur to Hyderabad, burying several passengers under the rubble.

Moreover, on October 24, a private bus tragically caught fire after it ran over a motorbike near Kurnool town in Andhra Pradesh, claiming the lives of 19 individuals. The bus, belonging to Vemuri Kaveri Travels, was engulfed in flames as the motorcycle got lodged beneath it, triggering a catastrophic fuel leak and subsequent blaze.
