As per police reports, the clash began when the travels bus brushed past the truck while attempting to overtake it. This sparked a heated altercation between the two drivers. They parked their vehicles on the roadside and engaged in a fierce argument when another truck crashed into them, resulting in both drivers being caught between the two vehicles, leading to their immediate deaths.
Additionally, two other individuals sustained injuries in the incident and were transported to a nearby medical facility.
The deceased have been identified as Srinivas and Bangaraiah. Authorities have initiated an investigation following the registration of a case.
In another unfortunate incident in the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, a woman and her two sons were killed when their auto-rickshaw was struck by a speeding DCM van. This accident occurred on Monday night near Vadaparti village in the Bhuvanagiri mandal.
The victims were identified as D. Ketamma (56), Naresh (35), and Suresh (28). Police reports indicate that Ketamma and her sons were returning to their village, BN Timmapur, after purchasing inventory for the kirana shop she operated.
Suresh worked as a contract driver for the Road Transport Corporation (RTC) and also drove an auto-rickshaw when not on duty to support the family. Naresh, who suffered from epilepsy, usually remained at home.
On that fateful Monday, Ketamma and her sons visited Bhuvanagiri town to procure stock for their shop. As they returned, a speeding van collided with their auto-rickshaw. Both Naresh and Suresh succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while their mother passed away en route to the hospital.
The police have registered a case and are conducting further investigations.
