Trust in Yuva Shakti to Propel India Towards Development: PM Modi

New Delhi, Jan 12 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday conveyed his strong faith in the youth of India, asserting that they are collectively creating the blueprint for India's future over the upcoming 25 years and will realize the vision of 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047.

Speaking at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, coinciding with National Youth Day which commemorates the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, PM Modi remarked, "Swami Vivekananda had great faith in the nation's youth. He envisioned a bright future for the new generation, and I share that same steadfast belief in today's youth. If Swami Vivekananda were with us now, he would be inspired by the dedicated efforts of our youth, rejuvenating India with hope and aspirations."

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the venue, stating, "In this very Bharat Mandapam, leaders from across the globe convened to deliberate on worldwide development. Today, my young leaders are crafting the roadmap for India's future over the next 25 years."

Reflecting on his discussions with athletes, PM Modi mentioned that they regarded him as a "friend," a bond he cherishes with every citizen.

"The essence of friendship is trust, and I hold an immense trust in the youth of our nation. This trust has fueled the creation of 'My Bharat' and laid the foundation for the 'Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue'," he stated.

Recognizing the challenges that lie ahead, PM Modi commented, "While some may deem this vision unfeasible, I am convinced it is attainable. When millions of young individuals propel development, our objectives become achievable."

The Prime Minister drew lessons from historical instances, citing how collective determination has led to remarkable accomplishments. He referred to America's 'New Deal' during the 1930s and Singapore's evolution under strong leadership, highlighting that shared dreams can yield exceptional results.

PM Modi reminisced about India's past victories, from the struggle for independence to overcoming agricultural crises, eradicating open defecation, achieving financial inclusion, and providing LPG cylinders to every household.

He highlighted India's global leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, encompassing vaccine development and executing the largest vaccination campaign worldwide.

India's dedication to green energy was also emphasized.

"We honored our Paris Agreement commitment nine years ahead of schedule. We are now aiming for a 20 percent ethanol blend in petrol by 2030 and will achieve this goal ahead of time," he remarked.

The Prime Minister commended the youth's contributions during the event, stating, "I feel immense pride in the youth's awareness of our nation's challenges and their grassroots solutions. Your ideas, which emerged from this dialogue, will shape India's policies and development. This event mirrors the vast vision of our youth."

Reiterating that India is one of the youngest nations globally, PM Modi reiterated his appeal to engage one lakh young individuals in politics, viewing it as a means to implement transformative ideas.

"I am confident many of you will step up to engage in politics, contributing to the vision of a Viksit Bharat," he added.

Pointing out the leadership roles assumed by Indians worldwide, PM Modi declared, "We are entering an Amrit Kaal; a golden era. I trust that India's Yuva Shakti will propel India towards becoming a developed nation."

Earlier, the Prime Minister visited an exhibition where 3,000 young leaders showcased their innovative contributions, aligning their efforts with the vision for 'Viksit Bharat 2047'.

The exhibits highlighted progress in digital technologies, virtual innovations, and sustainable development goals, showcasing a collective intent for a robust, healthy, and prosperous India.

Young innovators presented concepts across ten critical themes essential to India's advancement, including technology, sustainability, women's empowerment, manufacturing, and agriculture, proposing solutions to pressing national challenges.

The Dialogue seeks to redefine the conventional National Youth Festival by aligning it with PM Modi's vision of engaging one lakh youth in non-partisan political initiatives. It serves as a platform for young leaders to transform their ideas into actionable contributions towards India's progress.

This event marked a historic convergence of youth leadership and innovation, reaffirming the government's dedication to empowering a future-ready generation.
