Srinagar, July 28 (NationPress) The Army reported on Monday that three terrorists were encircled during 'Operation Mahadev' in the Dachigam region of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), with two of the militants neutralized thus far.
The elimination of these two terrorists occurred following the initiation of an anti-terrorism operation by security forces in Srinagar district.
According to officials, the operation commenced in the elevated areas of Dachigam National Park located in the Harwan sector of Srinagar city.
“This operation was launched based on intelligence reports. Additional forces have been deployed as the region is heavily populated and presents challenging terrain,” officials indicated.
The Indian Army, J&K Police, and security personnel have been conducting robust anti-terror operations throughout the region, targeting terrorists, Over Ground Workers (OGWs), and terrorism sympathizers to thoroughly dismantle the terror ecosystem within the Union Territory.
