UP Police Seizes Hotel of Rape Suspect Nawab Singh Yadav

Kannauj (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 21 (NationPress) The Uttar Pradesh Police took decisive action on Saturday, seizing the hotel belonging to Samajwadi Party leader Nawab Singh Yadav, who stands accused of raping a minor girl and has also been charged under the Gangster Act.
The establishment, identified as Chandan Hotel and located near the Government Medical College in Tirwa, was sealed off with a significant police presence. Officers made the announcement of the seizure by beating drums, highlighting their commitment to tackling illegal assets.
This hotel is allegedly registered in the name of Yadav’s deceased mother.
Yadav, along with his brother Neelu Yadav and co-accused Pooja Tomar, is currently incarcerated. The trio faces severe charges, including rape and other violations under the Gangster Act.
The case came to light following a report from a 15-year-old girl, who claimed that Yadav assaulted her.
The incident was reported on August 11 when the minor girl called emergency services to report the crime.
Police apprehended Yadav at his Chaudhary Chandan Mahavidyalaya in Nasrapur village, where he was discovered in a compromising situation with a woman and a teenager. He was subsequently jailed the following day.
Pooja Tomar was arrested on August 21, while Neelu Yadav, who is accused of tampering with evidence, surrendered on September 3. On September 28, the police took action under the Gangster Act against all three individuals and commenced an investigation into their assets.
CO City Kamlesh Kumar stated: "Measures were implemented under the Gangster Act against Nawab Singh Yadav. He utilized illicit finances to erect Chandan Hotel, which has now been seized in accordance with government regulations."
Nawab Singh Yadav, once dubbed 'Mini CM' during the tenure of the Samajwadi Party, was considered a close associate of party chief Akhilesh Yadav. He was a strong candidate for a ticket from Kannauj in the 2017 Assembly elections.
However, after being denied a ticket, his relationship with Akhilesh Yadav deteriorated.
