Lucknow, Jan 16 (NationPress) The Mahakumbh fairgrounds in the newly established Mahakumbh Nagar have become a gathering place for millions of devotees and followers of Sanatan Dharma, attracting not only local pilgrims but also international visitors to the sacred town.

Bollywood artists and performers have also set up camps in the fairgrounds to entertain and engage the vast audience at Mahakumbh.

In a bid to enhance the significance of this sacred event, the Yogi Adityanath government is offering a platform for school and college students to display their talents to a global audience. The Culture Department is providing specialized training in nine disciplines at various colleges in Prayagraj, culminating on January 22, just before these students present their skills at the event.

Experts from across the state have been recruited to mentor students in Prayagraj colleges until January 22. Approximately 600 students are receiving training in Awadhi folk singing, folk dance, Mashkbeen, magic, rangoli, Dhedhiya dance, Braj folk dance, and bhajan.

The specialized training in various cultural disciplines is being organized across Prayagraj colleges, including Awadhi folk singing at Shri Krishna Degree College; Mashkbeen at Madan Mohan Malviya Inter College; magic at Brajmangal Singh Inter College; Awadhi folk song/dance at RP Inter College; folk singing at Sarvodaya Shiksha Sadan Inter College; Dhedhiya dance at Kamala Smarak Inter College; Braj folk dance at Radha Raman Mahila Inter College; Bhajan and folk singing at Government Girls' Inter College; and Rangoli at RNT Inter College.

The renowned trainers leading the cultural training sessions include Shiv Pujan Shukla in Awadhi folk singing, Santosh and Vedanand in Mashqabin training, Aftab and Suresh in magic, Upma Pandey in folk singing, Anand Kishore in Dhedhiya dance.

This extensive training initiative is being executed collaboratively by the Culture Department and the colleges, with principals overseeing the program. These young talents, well-versed in the state’s rich cultural heritage, will play a vital role in the vibrant cultural displays at Mahakumbh, showcasing their skills on a grand stage.
