Dehradun, July 5 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, has adopted a stringent approach regarding instances where individuals have illicitly benefited from government schemes. Following his directives, two distinct cases have been filed at Kotwali Nagar and Thana Rajpur.
Officials have been instructed to ensure that no ineligible individuals escape accountability, and decisive measures should be enforced against them.
A complaint was lodged with the Senior Superintendent of Police, Dehradun, by the District Supply Officer and the Ayushman Department. It was highlighted that ration cards are intended for individuals with an annual income below Rs 5 lakhs. Investigations revealed that numerous ration cards were fraudulent, allowing these individuals to exploit health services through their Ayushman cards.
On the Chief Minister's orders, the SSP of Dehradun promptly registered cases at Kotwali Nagar and Thana Rajpur. Law enforcement is diligently probing both cases, working to identify individuals who have manipulated government schemes using counterfeit documents.
Earlier that day, Chief Minister Dhami engaged with farmers in Khatima, participating in the traditional paddy planting, a moment he described as a ‘revival of old memories’.
He paid homage to the diligent work and dedication of farmers, stating, “Farmers not only constitute the backbone of our economy but also embody our cultural heritage and traditions.”
