Dehradun, July 5 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, has taken a decisive stance against individuals exploiting government schemes. Following his directives, two distinct cases have been initiated at Kotwali Nagar and Thana Rajpur.
Officials have been instructed to ensure that no ineligible individuals escape accountability, with strict measures being enforced against such actions.
A complaint was lodged with the Senior Superintendent of Police in Dehradun by the District Supply Officer and the Ayushman Department. It was reported that the government issues ration cards to those earning less than Rs 5 lakhs annually. However, upon investigation into accusations regarding the issuance of ration cards to ineligible persons, the Supply Department uncovered numerous fake ration cards. These individuals were improperly benefiting from health services through their Ayushman cards.
In response to the Chief Minister's orders, the SSP of Dehradun swiftly registered cases at both Kotwali Nagar and Thana Rajpur, with thorough investigations now underway. Efforts are being made to identify all those who have unlawfully exploited government schemes through fraudulent documentation.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Dhami was seen in the fields, actively participating with farmers in planting paddy saplings.
His involvement in the traditional paddy cultivation in Khatima was described by him as a 'revival of old memories'.
He also paid homage to the relentless toil, sacrifices, and dedication of farmers, stating, “Farmers not only constitute the backbone of our economy but also embody our culture and traditions.”
