Patna, March 31 (NationPress) In a suspected effort to disrupt communal harmony, unidentified individuals inscribed slogans on the wall of an Eidgah in Mile Pakdi village, situated under the Bidupur police station area of Vaishali district, on Monday, just prior to Eid prayers. Nevertheless, the police successfully de-escalated the situation.
The Station House Officer (SHO) of Bidupur police station informed IANS that the writings included slogans such as "Jai Shri Ram," "RJD Zindabad," and "Ahiran," which incited anger and frustration among the Muslim community members gathered for Eid Namaz.
Upon receiving the alert, senior district officials, including BDO, CO, SDO, SDPO, and the in-charge of Bidupur police station, arrived at the location and assured the community of stringent action against the offenders.
The officers called upon the public to maintain peace and conduct their prayers, assuring that those responsible for the vandalism would be identified and held accountable.
Police personnel promptly removed the slogans, and additional security forces were deployed in the vicinity to avert any adverse incidents.
Hajipur SDO Arun Baitha affirmed, "An investigation is underway. The culprits will not be spared. Strict action will be taken against the accused."
RJD spokesperson Ejaz Ahmed vehemently condemned the act, labeling it a calculated move to disrupt communal harmony.
"Anti-social elements are attempting to poison the atmosphere. Various tactics are being employed to incite communalism and undermine our Ganga-Jamuni culture. Strict measures must be enforced against those involved," Ahmed stated.
He urged for the examination of CCTV footage from near the Eidgah to track down the miscreants.
Authorities have heightened security protocols throughout Vaishali district to guarantee tranquil Eid celebrations.
A substantial number of police officers have been stationed at critical locations to uphold law and order.
Meanwhile, in Darbhanga, tensions flared following a stone-pelting incident targeting Chaitra Navratri devotees in Kusheshwar Asthan on Sunday.
Six individuals were apprehended in connection with the incident. An FIR has been filed against 45 individuals, and the police are vigilantly observing the situation.
Despite these occurrences, Eid festivities proceeded without incident across Bihar throughout the day, with people offering Namaz, exchanging greetings, and embracing one another in a spirit of unity while visiting each other's homes.
Authorities have appealed to the public to remain calm and not succumb to the communal provocations of vested interests.
