Gurugram, March 19 (NationPress) The political atmosphere in Maharashtra has intensified following the violence in Nagpur. After Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi expressed admiration for the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb, Hindu groups have initiated protests, calling for the demolition of Aurangzeb's tomb amidst the unrest in Nagpur.
While the opposition is criticizing the government led by Devendra Fadnavis, officials assert that all individuals involved in the riots will face justice. Addressing the Nagpur disturbances, BJP leader Gourav Vallabh spoke to IANS on Wednesday.
Vallabh accused Abu Azmi of attempting to disrupt peace in Maharashtra under the guise of honoring Aurangzeb.
He stated, "I wish to address all supporters of Aurangzeb, including Abu Azmi, Akhilesh Yadav, Uddhav Thackeray, and Sharad Pawar. In Maharashtra, Chhatrapati Shivaji is revered. He has been honored, is honored, and will continue to be honored. The advocates of Aurangzeb are trying to overshadow Chhatrapati Shivaji, which is unacceptable. In Maharashtra, Shivaji Maharaj was, is, and will always be celebrated.
Vallabh further questioned whether Akhilesh Yadav truly considers Aurangzeb to be admirable and why Uddhav Thackeray has chosen to remain silent on this matter.
Regarding Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar, Vallabh remarked: "Kanhaiya Kumar has lost his relevance, and there is little of significance to discuss concerning him. He lacks insight into the country's matters and has made no notable contributions in his area. There is no room for such trivial figures. He merely attracts attention with a small group of students at JNU. His political influence in Bihar is nonexistent, and his previous electoral attempts in Delhi have proven futile. If he runs again, he will once more lose his deposit."
In reaction to comments from Congress leader Shashi Tharoor praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's foreign policy, Gourav Vallabh stated: "If anyone in the world can engage with both the President of Russia and the President of Ukraine within two weeks, it is none other than India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This highlights his personal stature and India's increasing strategic significance globally. The personal endeavors of the Prime Minister, paired with India's strategic influence, were pivotal in this accomplishment. It is a moment of pride for every Indian."
Vallabh added that Prime Minister Modi possesses the ability to guide the world towards peace. He also indicated that Shashi Tharoor should begin criticizing Congress leaders now, questioning why respectable individuals are distancing themselves from the Congress party.
He noted that Rahul Gandhi avoids traveling to Rae Bareli yet ensures he visits Vietnam, prompting curiosity about the connection between him and Vietnam.
