Vedas Provide Insights for India's Journey to Becoming 'Vishwa Guru': Haryana Chief Minister

Gurugram, Dec 27 (NationPress) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that the Vedas embody the knowledge that has established India as the 'Vishwa Guru' (world leader).

He remarked that even in contemporary times, as we strive to restore India's status as the 'Vishwa Guru', it is essential to promote the teachings of the Vedas.

He further indicated that Haryana is a holy land where the verses of the Vedas were inscribed along the banks of the Goddess Saraswati river.

In this regard, it is a significant opportunity that the Ved Prachar and Ved Bhashya Granth distribution programme was launched in Gurugram, the land of Guru Dronacharya, he added.

He expressed his belief that Vedic knowledge will be instrumental in fulfilling the Prime Minister's vision for a developed India.

CM Saini addressed the assembly at the Ved Prachar and Ved Bhashya Granth Distribution programme in Gurugram on Thursday.

"Researchers studying the Vedas recognize them as the original source of our religion, science, art, music, medicine, and philosophy. The exploration of the Vedas is vital not only from a religious perspective but also from cultural and scientific lenses. Referencing the teachings of saints, the Chief Minister emphasized that the Vedas offer the ultimate path, and adhering to their principles can lead to peace and happiness," he noted.

He added that this significant initiative will empower the public, particularly the youth, to read and grasp the extensive knowledge contained within these ancient texts.

He further conveyed that it is a matter of pride and honor for everyone that this noteworthy endeavor has been executed in Haryana, the land of the Vedas, which has been the cradle of Indian civilization.

"Our Vedas serve as the primary medium for disseminating humanity's values across the globe. The Vedas impart the message of 'Manuhbhav', meaning 'become a human', achievable only when the Vedas become an integral part of our lives. While individuals from all faiths advocate their beliefs, it is our Vedas that instruct us on how to be genuine human beings," he stated.

Referencing the Prime Minister's perspectives about the Vedas, the Chief Minister mentioned that they are a treasure trove of knowledge and science, continually guiding humanity even today.

"The Vedas instill values of harmony, equality, and respect for nature. They also address scientific principles crucial for our country," he added.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also called for collective initiatives to safeguard the environment and urged the youth to steer clear of the evils of drug addiction.

BJP MLAs Bimla Chaudhary, Tejpal Tanwar, Mukesh Sharma, along with other dignitaries, were also present at the event.
