Patna, Aug 13 (NationPress) Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha strongly countered remarks by Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of Opposition, who suggested a boycott of the forthcoming Assembly elections. Sinha accused Yadav of fearing defeat and attempting to evade the political arena.
Sinha asserted that Yadav has a history of avoiding challenges and is now poised to repeat that in the political realm.
In response to Yadav’s comments regarding his age, the Deputy CM demanded evidence.
“Tejashwi Yadav has misrepresented my age, so I plan to send him a notice. He should present his degree and clarify the age noted in it,” Sinha stated.
He further criticized Yadav for making baseless accusations, declaring, “He is not a nationalist and undermines democracy. If he truly believed in democratic values, he wouldn't propose an election boycott. Consciously aware of impending defeat, they’re attempting to dodge the electoral arena. They’ve previously evaded challenges; if they do it again with elections, the public will respond appropriately,” the Deputy CM expressed.
Sinha urged for accountability against those who disregard the Constitution and condemned the opposition for engaging in politics filled with unfounded allegations and for failing to honor the laws.
In a powerful statement laden with mythological allusions, Sinha declared, “It’s time to educate the son of Duryodhan and Shakuni. There will be no Chirharan in the Raj Darbar of Dhritarashtra. Everyone must stand with the truth. They are violating political decorum by continually defaming one individual. While I adhere to decorum, my response will match your tone.”
Previously, Yadav highlighted that the issue concerning the two EPIC numbers of Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha was raised by the RJD, leading to the Election Commission issuing him a notice.
“Sinha’s name appeared in two districts, and as far as I know, the district administration from only one district has served a notice to him,” Yadav claimed.
Regarding the controversy surrounding BJP state general secretary Bhikhu Bhai Dalsaniya’s name in Bihar’s voter registry, Sinha defended the action, stating, “Now discussions revolve around one nation, one election. If someone has resided in a place for years, they rightfully deserve to vote there. This is compliant with the law.”
