Patna, April 20 (NationPress) Following the corruption accusations made by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha against the Leader of Opposition (LoP) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Tejashwi Yadav, the latter strongly denied the allegations and urged the state government to take action if the claims hold any validity.

Deputy CM Sinha had pointed fingers at LoP Yadav regarding irregularities during his time as the Road Construction Minister, to which Tejashwi retorted: "If there was any misconduct during my term, what is stopping the government from addressing it?"

He highlighted a purported scam involving Rs 26 crore in the road construction department during the Grand Alliance government.

“What is the Deputy CM thinking? His statements lack coherence,” declared Tejashwi Yadav.

The LoP further accused the NDA government of covering up extensive corruption across various levels, stating, "We raised questions about the tender scam recently, yet we have not received any responses. Public funds are being misused to support the ruling party, and corruption runs rampant—from Circle Officers to Block Development Officers."

Yadav also questioned the efficacy of state-level investigative bodies.

“When crores are seized during investigations, what actions are Bihar's agencies taking? Why does evidence emerge only when the CBI and ED intervene?” he asked.

He pointed to structural failures, such as the recent series of bridge collapses, questioning: "Who is held accountable for the bridges that are collapsing?"

Yadav concluded by asserting that posing such questions irritates the state government, prompting them to retaliate with counter-accusations instead of tackling the real issues.

He made a serious claim against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the JD-U, alleging the misuse of public funds under the pretense of community outreach for political gain.

He asserted that the Nitish Kumar administration has procured 600 digital chariots costing Rs 225 crore of taxpayer money under the guise of Mahila Samvad.
