Violent Clash in Ujjain Results in One Fatality and Ten Injuries Over Alleged Affair

Bhopal, Dec 5 (NationPress) One individual lost their life while ten others sustained injuries during a violent clash between two families regarding an alleged illicit affair in the Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday.

The incident took place in Khilonda village of Barnagar town, located approximately 55 km from the district headquarters of Ujjain.

Footage of the altercation that emerged on social media depicted around a dozen individuals pursuing one another, with two tractors attempting to run over members of the rival group.

The confrontation began with a verbal argument that escalated into a violent clash.

As per police reports, the families attacked one another using knives, swords, and various sharp weapons.

The injured were immediately transported to a hospital, where one was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The deceased has been identified as Shehzad Khan.

Following Shehzad's death, his relatives placed his body on a tractor trolley, traveled to Badnagar Police Station, and conducted a protest demanding justice. They eventually dispersed after assurances from senior police officials regarding action against the perpetrators.

Badnagar SDOP Mahendra Singh Parmar reported that both families involved in the incident have lodged formal complaints and the case is currently under investigation.

A police team has been dispatched to the village, according to Parmar.

The injured individuals have been named as Abid Khan, Altaf Khan, Raheem Asheem, Raeesh Khan, Nahru, Rustam, Afsana, and two others. They have been admitted to various hospitals for medical care, police confirmed.

Both families have been embroiled in disputes over the alleged illicit relationship for several months. Although elder members from both sides had resolved the issue recently, the conflict reignited.

According to law enforcement, 14 individuals have been charged from both families under relevant statutes, with further actions pending based on the investigation.
