On the day in question, Mahesh allegedly returned home intoxicated, leading to another heated argument. In a fit of rage, he reportedly assaulted Kavita and hurled a mobile phone at her face, inflicting serious injuries. Despite her dire state, he allegedly neglected to take her to the hospital promptly, which contributed to her worsening condition.
Kavita ultimately lost consciousness at home and was taken to the hospital, where she tragically passed away during treatment.
The incident came to light following the post-mortem findings, prompting her brother to file a formal complaint accusing Mahesh of murder. Police acted swiftly on the complaint, launching a search operation.
Two teams were created to locate the accused, who had gone into hiding after the event. He was eventually found at a relative’s home and was arrested. Ongoing investigations into this case are underway.
