New Delhi, Feb 1 (NationPress) As Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled the Union Budget 2026, the BJP expressed its approval on Sunday, calling it a people-centric budget rooted in the philosophy of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas', aimed at all segments of society. They asserted that this budget will propel India from being the world’s fourth-largest economy to the third-largest.

After the Budget presentation, Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia told reporters outside Parliament, “This budget impacts all sectors of the Indian economy and is designed for every citizen, truly embodying ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. Areas such as telecom and the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) have received substantial support.”

He added that the budget “advances the Prime Minister’s vision of leveraging India’s growth potential.”

“We have experienced growth nearing 7.5 percent, effective inflation control, and a remarkable rise in capital expenditure from Rs 2 lakh crore in previous years to nearly Rs 11 lakh crore this year, and Rs 12 lakh crore next year. This budget will empower India and place the country on a path from the fourth-largest to the third-largest economy,” Scindia noted.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary expressed gratitude to the Finance Minister for presenting a clear long-term vision.

“I appreciate the Finance Minister for detailing what India will look like by 2047, outlining three Kartavyas, emphasizing six key areas for a ‘Viksit Bharat’, and sharing crucial information on various significant schemes,” he stated.

BJP national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain commended the Finance Minister’s accomplishment, noting, “Nirmala Sitharaman is the first female Finance Minister to present the budget for the ninth time. There is a wave of joy across the nation. I congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nirmala Sitharaman. We watched the Budget Session alongside our National President, Nitin Nabin.”

BJP MP Vivek Thakur characterized the budget as forward-thinking.

“This comprehensive budget addresses every aspect of a developed India. Whether concerning rural development, agriculture, or infrastructure, the budget is equipping the nation for forthcoming challenges and opportunities,” he remarked.

Madhya Pradesh Minister Tulsi Ram Silawat affirmed that the budget reflects the vision of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'.

“This budget, presented by the Finance Minister under the Prime Minister’s guidance, signifies inclusive growth. It considers all sections of society and focuses on development and progress. It is a truly historic budget for the people of India,” he declared.

BJP MP Raju Bista also praised the budget, labeling it “excellent, historic, and visionary.”

He stated it meets the aspirations of a Viksit Bharat by 2047 and impacts the lives of farmers, workers, youth, rural communities, and residents of Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

BJP MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat mentioned, “Today’s budget has been formulated with India’s 2047 vision in mind. Every element that can strengthen the country’s economy and empower its citizens has been meticulously incorporated.”

BJP MP Shashank Mani Tripathi highlighted significant economic indicators, stating, “It is a commendable budget. Our economy is thriving, with GDP projected at 7.4 percent and inflation at 1.7 percent. The fiscal deficit has been contained at 4.4 percent. The budget fosters all-encompassing development and is genuinely for a ‘Viksit Bharat’.”

BJP MP Dinesh Sharma noted that the budget is particularly encouraging for youth, women, farmers, and entrepreneurs, offering robust support for education, healthcare, startups, tourism, transport, and exports.
