New Delhi, May 31 (NationPress) A woman involved in drug distribution was apprehended in the Mangolpuri neighborhood of Delhi, with police recovering 427 grams of ganja from her.
The individual has been named 'M'. This arrest is part of the Delhi Police's sustained effort against illegal drugs, aligning with their 'Zero Tolerance' policy and the overarching goals of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA).
Following a tip-off from Constable Bajrang of the Mangolpuri Police Station regarding a woman allegedly possessing ganja, a raid was initiated at the designated site.
Constable Bajrang and a female officer noticed a suspicious woman carrying a white plastic bag.
"When the suspect spotted the police, she tried to conceal herself. However, the vigilant police team, aided by female officer W/HC Pooja, quickly apprehended her," stated Sachin Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police for Outer District, New Delhi.
A plastic bag containing 427 grams of ganja and Rs 1,470 in cash was seized from her.
The accused has been charged under Section 20(A) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, at the Mangolpuri Police Station.
