The event, themed ‘Raksha Bandhan with the Chief Minister – A Tribute to Women Journalists’, highlighted the government's dedication to women's welfare within the state. During his address, Chief Minister Sharma emphasized that women are crucial in shaping society and boosting both the state and the nation.

Additionally, he pointed out measures taken to enhance safety, such as the Kalika Patrolling Unit, three women battalions, 65 anti-Romeo squads, and women's counseling centers at police stations.
