Rewa, May 15 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav asserted on Thursday that there will be ample funding available for developmental initiatives, ensuring that no region of the state remains deprived of progress.
The Chief Minister emphasized that in addition to efforts in water conservation, the state government is enhancing irrigation facilities.
Yadav committed to establishing permanent irrigation infrastructure in every village across the state.
He highlighted the significance of river-linking projects, mentioning that two projects (Ken-Betwa with Uttar Pradesh and Parvati-Kali-Sindh with Rajasthan) are currently in progress, while the third (Tapti Basis Recharge Project with Maharashtra) has also been initiated.
“Water conservation initiatives are being executed statewide under the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan. The 501 newly inaugurated farm ponds in Rewa will enhance the irrigation area and boost crop yields,” Yadav stated.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s dedication to improving farmers’ incomes.
He mentioned that to elevate milk production from 9 percent to 20 percent, the government is vigorously promoting cow rearing.
During the event, the Chief Minister inaugurated five development projects valued at Rs 50.73 crore, including the Birsa Munda College in Rewa, and conducted bhoomi-pujan for two additional projects.
Moreover, he announced the construction of colleges and schools in various locations within Rewa district, assuring that the government will strive for the comprehensive development of students.
The Chief Minister also launched the 24th installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana during a program in Sidhi district (part of Rewa division).
This installment involved transferring a total of Rs. 1,552.38 crore to the bank accounts of 1.27 crore women across the state.
The Ladli Behna Yojana is a pivotal welfare program aimed at empowering women by providing them with monthly financial assistance.
