Greater Noida, March 5 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, officially launched the KDSG Super Speciality Hospital located in the Dadri region of Greater Noida on Thursday. Following the inauguration, he toured the hospital facilities and engaged in comprehensive discussions about the responsibilities of medical professionals and the standard of healthcare services offered.
Among the attendees at the event were former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev and Gautam Buddh Nagar MP Mahesh Sharma.
In his speech, the Chief Minister emphasized the significance of doctors' demeanor and self-assurance while treating patients, drawing a captivating analogy from cricket. He mentioned that when Kapil Dev took to the pitch, the Pakistan team often felt a sense of defeat before the game even commenced. He noted that if doctors approach their patients with confidence and a positive mindset, a significant part of the healing process begins at that very moment.
He further remarked that the combination of medical care and prayers can accelerate recovery, enhancing the hospital's standing within the community. Describing the establishment of the KDSG Super Speciality Hospital in Dadri as a major advancement for the residents of the National Capital Region (NCR), he stated that it would provide cutting-edge medical services to the local population.
The Chief Minister highlighted that healthcare is a fundamental necessity for everyone, and citizens rightfully anticipate quality medical care and dependable health facilities. While the government is consistently working towards this goal, he stressed that collaboration from the private sector is essential for broadening access to quality healthcare.
He mentioned that the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has become one of the largest healthcare initiatives in India, benefitting approximately 600 million individuals nationwide.
In Uttar Pradesh alone, over 50 million Golden Cards have been distributed, allowing recipients to access free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh under this scheme. He underscored the need for transparency and healthy competition within healthcare services to enhance service delivery.
While the establishment of super speciality hospitals is commendable, he stated it is just as vital to ensure a balance between government-set rates and private hospital charges, so that affordable and trustworthy treatment remains within reach for the average citizen.
Pointing out advancements in the healthcare sector, the Chief Minister mentioned that prior to 2014, only six AIIMS facilities were operational in the country, whereas today, there are 23 world-class AIIMS institutions functioning across India.
In Uttar Pradesh, there were merely 17 medical colleges until 2017; however, under the 'One District, One Medical College' initiative, nearly 81 medical colleges are either functioning or under construction across all 75 districts in the state.
The KDSG Super Speciality Hospital, constructed at a cost of approximately ₹200 crore, features 300 beds and is outfitted with numerous modern amenities. This facility will provide advanced services in fields such as cardiology, oncology, and neurology, as well as high-tech surgical capabilities.
It is anticipated that the hospital will create both direct and indirect employment opportunities for nearly 1,000 individuals in the area.
Kapil Dev expressed his appreciation to the Chief Minister and affirmed that every effort would be made to uphold the trust placed in them by the government and set a new standard in healthcare through this institution.
He concluded by stating that the hospital will play a crucial role in elevating Uttar Pradesh's reputation both nationally and internationally.
