Gurugram, Jan 13 (NationPress) A 22-year-old individual was fatally shot by unidentified assailants in Rithoj village here in Gurugram on Sunday night, according to police reports.
The victim has been recognized as Harsh Kumar. Authorities stated that Kumar suffered a single gunshot wound to the head at close range, resulting in his immediate death.
Reports indicate that Harsh had gone to his hut, located 50 meters from his residence, to smoke hookah during the night, where he was subsequently attacked by an unknown assailant. On Monday morning, his mother discovered the tragic event when she attempted to wake him.
Following the incident, the perpetrator escaped the scene without confrontation. A team from Bhondsi Police Station promptly arrived and informed reporters that they had some leads regarding the suspects.
The uncle of the deceased, Kapil, shared with the media that a few young individuals from their village had previously engaged in a dispute with Harsh over a minor issue and are now considered potential suspects.
“We are uncertain if these individuals are connected to the murder, but we will provide their information to the police,” the uncle stated during the press briefing.
In the meantime, a murder case has been filed against unknown individuals at the Bhondsi Police Station.
“The motive for the murder remains unclear. However, the family suspects the involvement of certain individuals within their village, who will be interrogated. Those responsible for the crime will be apprehended shortly,” Sandeep Kumar, spokesperson for the Gurugram Police, confirmed.
