Gurugram: 22-Year-Old Male Fatally Injured During Altercation

Gurugram, Jan 10 (NationPress) A 22-year-old male has died from injuries sustained after being stabbed by another individual during a dispute on the night of January 4 and 5, as per police statements.
The victim has been identified as Ashish, a resident of Alwar, Rajasthan, who passed away on Thursday while receiving medical care.
According to law enforcement, they were alerted on the night of Saturday and Sunday regarding two individuals, Ashish and his friends, Deepak and Sachin, being hospitalized due to injuries from a minor argument.
Upon arrival at the hospital, the police found that Ashish was unable to provide a statement due to his condition, while Sachin had already been discharged.
Sachin explained to the authorities that he works in a company located in Manesar and, along with Ashish and other friends, had rented two rooms in the Prem Nagar area of Gurugram starting December 31.
On the evening of January 4, at approximately 8:15 p.m., they returned to their accommodation only to find Deepak, a resident of Uttarakhand, verbally assaulting and fighting with Ashish.
Sachin intervened to separate the two, attempting to prevent any further escalation.
However, while Ashish and Sachin were conversing at the entrance, Deepak returned, hurling insults, and stabbed Ashish in the face with a knife.
As Sachin rushed Ashish back inside their room, Deepak attacked again, stabbing Ashish in the back before fleeing the scene. Following Sachin's report, a case was registered at the Sector-14 police station, according to Gurugram police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar.
On Thursday, Ashish succumbed to his injuries, prompting authorities to add murder charges to the case.
Initial investigations revealed that Sachin, Ashish, and their companions had been residing in their rented premises in Prem Nagar since December 31, while the accused was also staying nearby in a different room.
Further inquiry indicated that the motive behind the stabbing stemmed from a dispute involving notifying the landlord about alcohol consumption.
The police stated, "Deepak is currently receiving treatment in the hospital. He will be apprehended in accordance with regulations once he is discharged."
