Gurugram: Youth Detained for Fatally Stabbing Co-Worker

Gurugram, Jan 6 (NationPress) A 22-year-old man has been detained for allegedly fatally stabbing his co-worker over a minor disagreement in the Sector 52 region, the authorities reported.

The detained individual has been named as Arjun Shavtal, who hails from Cachar district in Assam.

The deceased has been identified as Dilip (26), a resident of Bihar, who was employed at Hello Stay Guest House in Sector 52.

According to police reports, they were alerted about the murder of a man on Saturday.

Upon receiving the alert, the police team arrived at the scene, where they discovered that the individual who had been stabbed had already been transported to the hospital. The police team conducted an inspection with the scene-of-crime, fingerprint, and dog-squad teams.

The police also received notification from the hospital that a person named Dilip had been brought in deceased.

In this matter, the deceased’s brother informed the authorities that his sibling worked as a housekeeper at the Hello Stay Guest House, and claimed that another housekeeper at the establishment fatally stabbed him.

Based on the complaint, a case was filed under the appropriate sections.

During the investigation, police apprehended the suspect, Arjun, in the Sector 53 area on Sunday.

During interrogation, Arjun revealed to the police that both he and Dilip were employed at the same guest house.

Dilip was reportedly not fulfilling his work responsibilities, leading Arjun to threaten and verbally abuse him.

“On Saturday around 4 p.m., a heated argument erupted between the two, and in a moment of rage, Arjun grabbed a knife from the kitchen and fatally stabbed Dilip. The knife used in the commission of the murder was also retrieved from the scene by the police team,” stated Sandeep Kumar, spokesperson for the Gurugram police.
