Gurugram, Feb 2 (NationPress) A man was taken into custody for allegedly murdering his wife in the Sector-61 area of Gurugram due to suspicions regarding her involvement in an extramarital affair, as reported by the police on Sunday.

The individual in question has been identified as Abrar from Uttar Pradesh, according to authorities.

On January 28, police were alerted that a 20-year-old woman named Saloon was admitted to the hospital.

A team from the Bhondsi police station arrived at the hospital, took control of the body, and secured it in the mortuary.

On January 29, Saloon's sister informed the police that her sister lived with Abrar in a rented place within Sector-61.

While the victim was initially thought to have died from an illness, an autopsy later revealed that she had been strangled to death.

This finding led to a murder case being filed at the Sector-65 police station, police stated.

During the investigation, the police apprehended the accused husband on Saturday in Gurugram.
