Gurugram, Jan 8 (NationPress) In a heartbreaking event, a 45-year-old man suffered injuries after being reportedly shot by a friend of his son inside his home after he reprimanded him, the Gurugram police disclosed on Tuesday.
As per police reports, the alleged shooter, Tanmay from Gurgaon village, carried out the act following a confrontation with the victim, Sandeep Kumar, who lived in the same village. After Sandeep scolded him for frequently visiting their home, Tanmay harbored resentment and shot him in the stomach before fleeing the scene on Tuesday morning.
According to the police, the Sector-5 police station in Gurugram received alerts about the shooting incident that morning.
Upon their arrival, the police team found that the injured had already been transported to a private hospital for medical attention.
Sandeep was employed at a private firm.
The wife of the victim informed the authorities that Tanmay, a neighbor, was friends with her husband’s son and nephew.
She noted that Tanmay often visited their house and had been in poor company.
"A week prior, he came home inebriated. My husband scolded him and asked him not to come back, which led to Tanmay harboring resentment. On Tuesday morning, he entered our home and shot Sandeep before escaping," the victim's wife recounted to the police.
Inspector Sukhbir, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Sector-5 police station, indicated that a case has been filed against the accused under pertinent sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
