Vijayapura, May 3 (NationPress) Union Minister Pralhad Joshi remarked on Saturday that Karnataka's Housing and Waqf Minister Zameer Ahmad Khan should have faith in the Indian Army and refrain from making comments regarding the Pahalgam terror incident.
“He doesn’t need to strap a bomb to his back and head to Pakistan. If he simply has confidence in the Indian Army and maintains silence, that alone will be a significant service to the nation,” stated the Union Minister in response to Zameer Khan's declaration of becoming a “suicide bomber” for India against Pakistan.
“We are observing the remarks made by Congress leaders following the Pahalgam terror attack. Each one is voicing their opinions. Robert Vadra, Mallikarjun Kharge, Siddaramaiah, Santosh Lad, R.B. Timmapur, and Zameer Ahmad Khan are all expressing different views,” he added while addressing the media after visiting the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha temple in Toravi, Vijayapura.
He humorously commented that Zameer Khan's readiness for war with Pakistan, contingent on Prime Minister Modi's permission, indicates he sees himself as a great martyr.
“Our Army is robust. Citizens should trust the Indian Army and intelligence agencies. Congress leaders need to cease making irresponsible statements. If Congress ministers stop referring to terrorists as ‘brothers’, that would suffice. The Army will manage the rest,” he asserted.
He further stated that after the Pahalgam attack, Congress leaders appeared to be speaking on behalf of Pakistan.
“Now, all of a sudden, they are calling for an attack on Pakistan. In Delhi, they profess support for the Central government, yet here they criticize intelligence failures. Unlike during the UPA era, there have been no significant attacks like the Mumbai assault under the current administration. We have effectively mitigated such threats,” he claimed.
The Union Minister further asserted that the BJP government is taking stringent measures against terrorism, mentioning that the government has already delivered a diplomatic “blow” to Pakistan.
“Congress is indirectly suggesting we release water to Pakistan, questioning where the Indus water is being withheld. Pakistan is aware of the consequences of not receiving that water. But Congress appears oblivious to this,” he commented.
