Mumbai, Oct 8 (NationPress) Rolls-Royce is excited to engage in industry discussions during the visit of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, marking his inaugural official trip since the implementation of the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), according to a statement from the renowned British luxury car manufacturer.
The company's involvement aims to strengthen the India-UK economic partnership, aligning with the India-UK Vision 2035.
Chief Executive Officer Tufan Erginbilgic is in India as part of the UK PM's industry delegation.
Prior to the delegation meeting, Erginbilgic emphasized the company's aspiration to establish India as a primary market for Rolls-Royce.
"We aspire to transform India into an essential market for Rolls-Royce, leveraging our robust and successful collaboration. Our advanced technologies across air, land, and sea applications enable us to develop local capabilities and forge strategic alliances that will expedite India’s advancement towards a Viksit Bharat," he stated.

In the meantime, the UK PM has conveyed his eagerness to engage with the CEO of Rolls-Royce during his visit to India.
"Rolls-Royce symbolizes British excellence, and I was pleased to meet CEO Tufan Erginbilgic during my stay in India. Their dedication to expanding in India supports our Plan for Change – driving domestic economic growth, creating job opportunities, and reinforcing UK-India relations," he remarked.
Alongside world-class enterprises like Rolls-Royce, we’re cultivating a thriving future for both nations, Starmer added.
The company asserts that its distinctive portfolio in civil aviation, defense, and energy will enhance its presence and partnerships in India, empowering, safeguarding, and connecting India for generations.

The UK Prime Minister arrived in India on Wednesday, accompanied by a significant trade delegation.
