New Delhi, March 10 (NationPress) The platform X, owned by Elon Musk, faced a significant global outage on Monday, impacting users in India who were unable to access the micro-blogging service.
The platform, previously known as Twitter, became non-functional for millions, with the company yet to provide an explanation for this extensive disruption.
However, it began to function for some users following a downtime of at least 30 to 40 minutes.
As reported by the outage-monitoring site DownDetector, the peak of the X outage occurred around 15:00 hours.
One user expressed their frustration with the comment: "Is Twitter down? Is anyone else having this problem? I can't access the comments section."
DownDetector noted a significant increase in reports, with many users turning to social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram to voice their complaints regarding the site.
During this outage, users were completely unable to post tweets or even navigate the platform.
X was purchased by Musk in 2022 for a staggering $44 billion.
Since the acquisition, X has rarely experienced such outages compared to its competitors like Facebook and Instagram.

In India, Premium users now pay Rs 1,750 per month, up from Rs 1,300, reflecting an approximately 35% increase. The annual cost has also risen to Rs 18,300 from Rs 13,600, indicating a similar hike.
The basic subscription tier in India remains unchanged at Rs 243, while the premium tier costs Rs 650.
In the United States, the monthly fee for the Premium service is now $22, up from $16, and the annual subscription has increased to $229 from $168.
