New Delhi, May 24 (NationPress) The social media platform X, overseen by Elon Musk, encountered a global outage on Saturday, affecting users in India who found it challenging to load new posts and log in.
As per the outage tracking site Downdetector, numerous users reported difficulties accessing X webpages, along with issues related to the app and login interface.
A striking 41 percent of users indicated they couldn't log in, while an equal percentage faced troubles with the X app, and 18 percent with the website.
The company has not yet disclosed the cause of this outage, which marks the second incident within a 24-hour period.
Just the day before, X (previously known as Twitter) experienced a significant outage, leaving millions unable to access the app.
In India, numerous users attempted to access the website but faced difficulties. According to Downdetector, over 5,000 users around the world reported complications with the microblogging platform.
X Engineering acknowledged the situation in a statement, assuring users that the team is diligently working to resolve the issues.
“X is aware that some users are facing performance issues today. We are dealing with a data center outage, and our team is actively addressing the problem,” the post read.
Earlier in March, Musk mentioned that a substantial cyberattack targeted his X platform, disrupting access for millions globally, including users in India. The platform faced a massive outage that rendered it inaccessible.
“We are attacked daily, but this incident involved considerable resources. It appears that a large, coordinated group or potentially a nation is behind it. Tracing...,” the billionaire noted in a post. “There is (and was) a significant cyberattack on X,” he added, suggesting it is an effort to suppress him and his platform.
