Bhucho, Sep 4 (NationPress) Abhay Singh Sekhon and Raiza Dhillon have emerged victorious in the National Selection Shotgun Trial 4 (T4) for the men’s and women’s skeet events, respectively, held at the Bhai Devinder Singh Sidhu Gun Club in Bhucho, Punjab.
In a competitive lineup of 19 athletes, Raiza dominated the women’s qualifications, while Asian Shooting Championship gold medalist Anantjeet Singh Naruka secured the top position in the men’s qualifications among 35 participants.
During the Skeet Men’s finals, Abhay Singh Sekhon scored an impressive 55 out of 60 targets, claiming the top spot in T4. Gurjoat Singh and Naruka followed closely in second and third place, hitting 53 and 44 targets, respectively. In the qualification rounds, Abhay finished fourth with 117 hits across five series of 25 shots each (24, 21, 23, 24, 25) and a +3 in the shoot-off.
Naruka led the T4 qualification with 121 hits (24, 23, 25, 25, 24), while Gurjoat Singh finished second with 118 hits (23, 24, 22, 25, 24) and +2 in the shoot-off. Bhavtegh Singh Gill also scored 118 (24, 25, 24, 24, 23) but finished third due to a lesser shoot-off score.
