Ashad Pasha Shines in National Autocross C'ships; Pallavi Yadav Leads in Ladies' Category

Chennai, Jan 11 (NationPress) Muscat resident Ashad Pasha, originally from Chikkamagaluru, made a surprise appearance and recorded the quickest time, earning a remarkable triple crown at the South Zone qualifier of the Fmsci Indian National Autocross Championship at the Madras International Circuit on Saturday.

The 31-year-old defending National champion across three distinct classes, Pasha arrived to cheer on his brother but seized the opportunity to compete, making a stunning impression by finishing with the fastest time of the day at two minutes, 28.615 seconds on a mixed 2.4-kilometer track of dirt and tarmac.

Pallavi Yadav from Kolhapur emerged as the leader in the Ladies' class, clocking 03:30.081, followed by Reshma Inchalkar from Goa at 03:44.312 in this event organized by the Madras Motor Sports Club. “Though I am from Chikkamagaluru and based in Muscat, I came here to support my brother. However, when I found a car available, I decided to participate at the last minute,” shared Ashad, who excelled in three categories, finishing first in each.

The South Zone qualifiers are set to compete in the Championship finals at the same venue on Sunday, alongside top performers from the North and East Zone qualifiers.
