Patna (Bihar), Jan 21 (NationPress) The Bihar cricket squad is poised to take on Uttar Pradesh in their upcoming encounter of the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25 at the renowned Moin-ul-Haq Stadium from January 23 to 26. This stadium has previously hosted two Ranji Trophy matches in October and November 2025, marking the commencement of the 2024-25 season. The Bihar cricket team has put up a commendable performance against their rivals in the earlier matches.

The Uttar Pradesh cricket team, under the captaincy of Aryan Juyal, arrived in Patna on Monday. Their roster includes notable players such as Shivam Mavi, Saurabh Kumar, and Priyam Garg, along with coaching personnel led by Sunil Joshi, a former Indian cricketer. The president of the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA), Rakesh Tiwari, remarked, "This match presents a vital opportunity for the Bihar team to demonstrate their skills against Uttar Pradesh. The Moin-ul-Haq Stadium is set to undergo development into an international-standard stadium and sports complex, boasting a seating capacity of 40,000, along with 76 corporate boxes and facilities for 250 VIPs.

Moreover, the sports complex will house a badminton court, volleyball court, swimming pool, a five-star hotel, a fully-equipped hostel for athletes, restaurants, a clubhouse, and various modern amenities.
