CAVA Launches Nations Cup to Boost Volleyball in Central Asia

Bengaluru, Dec 14 (NationPress) The Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) has announced the initiation of the CAVA Nations Cup to advance the sport of Volleyball within the Central Asian territory. This tournament is set to emerge as a leading event, gathering elite teams from Central Asia to compete at a pinnacle level.
The establishment of the CAVA Nations Cup coincides with the increasing global interest in volleyball and acts as a driving force for the sport's advancement in Central Asia.
CAVA serves as the designated Zonal Association of the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), representing the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and the AVC in Central Asia and South Asia to foster and promote Indoor, Beach, Grass, and Snow Volleyball across the region.
The nations associated with the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
The specifics regarding the number of participants in the CAVA Nations Cup, as well as the qualification standards, venues, and dates for the inaugural edition, are still to be determined, according to a statement from the organizers on Saturday.
Leveraging CAVA's extensive background in regional volleyball and the expertise of Baseline Ventures in successfully organizing the Prime Volleyball League over the past three years, along with various other sports marketing initiatives, the association aims to elevate the competitive level of the sport while nurturing a dedicated fanbase across Asian nations.
