New Delhi, April 18 (NationPress) The Chennai Super Kings, who have claimed the IPL championship title five times, have acquired South African batsman Dewald Brevis as a substitute for the injured uncapped left-arm fast bowler Gurjapneet Singh for the remainder of the ongoing 2025 season.
Dewald Brevis has participated in 81 T20 matches, accumulating 1787 runs with a top score of 162. He made his T20I debut for South Africa in 2023 and has played two matches to date. Previously, he was with the Mumbai Indians (MI), where he appeared in 10 matches, and will now join CSK for INR 2.2 crore. This move is advantageous for CSK as they had an available overseas spot in their IPL 2025 roster.
