Manchester, Aug 9 (NationPress) Full-back Diogo Dalot of Manchester United asserts that there are now no excuses to fall back on, following the club's completion of the £50 million redevelopment of the Carrington Training Complex.
On Friday, Manchester United announced the successful conclusion of the redevelopment of the men’s first-team facility at Carrington, symbolizing a significant step in the club’s dedication to offering world-class amenities for its players and staff.
“In the end, this is our second home, where we spend most of our time after our personal residences with our families. It’s crucial to feel comfortable when entering. The facilities now are precisely what we envisioned and even surpass our expectations. We adapted quickly, as we had a busy schedule with numerous games to focus on,” stated Dalot during the opening.
“As Sir Jim mentioned today, while the conditions weren’t ideal for a season filled with challenges like we faced last year, the most important aspect is that there are now no excuses.
“Our performance on the pitch will ultimately dictate our success and restore the club to its former glory, as we now have everything required to be at our best both mentally and physically,” Dalot added.
This year-long initiative, led by celebrated Mancunian architect Lord Norman Foster, has successfully established a state-of-the-art training environment aimed at fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
The project, funded by part of the $300 million capital invested in the club by Sir Jim Ratcliffe last year, was completed ahead of schedule and within budget, more than a week before the commencement of the 2025/26 Premier League season. The facilities have seen upgrades in equipment and technology, with an emphasis on fitness, nutrition, recovery, and team cohesion.
