Jamshedpur, Oct 2 (NationPress) Punjab & Sind Bank, Services Sports Control Board, and Food Corporation of India achieved remarkable victories on the third day of the 5th Hockey India Senior Men Inter-Department National Championship 2025. In contrast, the match between Steel Plant Sports Board and Central Secretariat concluded in an exhilarating draw.

In the opening match on Thursday, Punjab & Sind Bank triumphed over Central Reserve Police Force with a score of 7-3 in Pool B. Jaskaran Singh led the charge with a hat-trick (11’, 24’, 35’), while Mandeep Singh (7’), Sukhwinder Singh (19’), Santa Singh (20’), and Harmanjit Singh (26’) each contributed a goal. For the opposition, Samsher netted two goals (33’, 56’), with Balram Dahiya scoring at 28’, showcasing a competitive spirit.

In the Pool C clash, Services Sports Control Board secured a 5-1 victory against Central Industrial Security Force. Captain Rajbhar Pawan (21’, 41’) netted twice, steering his team to success. Other scorers included Sanjit Toppo (40’), Rahul Kumar Rajbhar (56’), and Sukhdev Singh (57’). The Central Industrial Security Force showcased their efforts with a goal from Sandeep Kumar (45’) in the second half.

Next, the match between Steel Plant Sports Board and Central Secretariat ended in an exciting 4-4 draw. Simon Bodra scored two goals for Steel Plant at 35' and 37'. Captain Deepak Soreng netted two late goals at 58' and 60' to equalize. For Central Secretariat, Deepak scored twice at 31’ and 54’, with Harjit Singh Bhatti (3’) and Vinay (10’) contributing as well.

In another match, Food Corporation of India triumphed over Central Board of Direct Taxes with a score of 2-0 in Pool D. Paramvir Singh scored twice in quick succession at 55 and 58 minutes, sealing the victory for the Food Corporation. Despite a strong defensive display from the Central Board of Direct Taxes, they were unable to withstand the late offensive surge.

In the final match of the day, Sports Authority of India (SAI) overwhelmed I.T.B.P. Central Hockey Team with an astonishing 11-0 victory. Mohammad Zaid Khan was the standout performer, scoring five goals at 2’, 20’, 46’, 49’, and 56’. Pankaj added two more at 25’ and 31’. Additionally, contributions came from Lalit Negi (33’), Manish Sahani (40’), Mohd. Saif Khan (44’), and Mohit Karma (52’).

Furthermore, the match between All India Police Sports Control Board and Union Bank of India was officially forfeited, resulting in a 5-0 victory for the All India Police Sports Control Board.
