In contrast, the match between Steel Plant Sports Board and Central Secretariat concluded in an exhilarating draw.

In the opening match on Thursday, Punjab & Sind Bank triumphed over Central Reserve Police Force with a score of 7-3 in Pool B. Jaskaran Singh led the charge with a hat-trick (11’, 24’, 35’), while Mandeep Singh (7’), Sukhwinder Singh (19’), Santa Singh (20’), and Harmanjit Singh (26’) each contributed a goal. For the opposition, Samsher netted two goals (33’, 56’), with Balram Dahiya scoring at 28’, showcasing a competitive spirit.
