Noida (UP), Jan 27 (NationPress) In a pivotal showdown at the Noida Indoor Stadium, the Delhi Dangal Warriors clinched a significant 6–3 victory against the Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals during Match 13 of the Pro Wrestling League (PWL) 2026. This triumph keeps their semifinal aspirations alive.

With victories from Turan Bayramov, Anjli, Anastasiya Alpyeeva, Karla Godinez Gonzalez, captain Sujeet Kalkal, and Ronak, Delhi secured the vital two match points, accumulating four points from four matches and positioning themselves fifth in the standings. Despite wins from Jyoti Sihag, Mukul Dahiya, and a forfeit in the closing bout, the Tiigers ended their PWL 2026 journey without a single team victory.

In recognition of her performance, Anastasiya was honored as the Player of the Match, while Jyoti Sihag received the Fighter of the Match award for her impressive comeback.

Delhi set the stage in the initial 74kg men's bout, where Turan Bayramov narrowly bested Deepak in a tactical clash. After allowing an activity point in the first period, Bayramov demonstrated superior mat control in the second, achieving a push-out and securing the tie with a decisive move during the Power Minute.

The momentum continued in the 62kg women’s match, as Anjli showcased an aggressive performance to overcome Olha Padoshyk 19–10, featuring two notable four-point throws in the Power Minute that extended Delhi’s early lead.

The advantage grew in the 76kg women's event as Anastasiya Alpyeeva achieved a swift triumph over Jyoti Berwal. Following an early activity point for Berwal, Alpyeeva responded with a takedown and subsequent fall, propelling Delhi to a 3–0 lead.

Karla Godinez Gonzalez continued the winning streak in the 57kg women's bout, maintaining control over Pushpa throughout, culminating in a four-point takedown in the Power Minute for a 9–1 victory.

Captain Sujeet Kalkal upheld the momentum in the 65kg men's match with a confident 9–2 win against Ali Rahimzade, establishing a commanding 5–0 lead for the Warriors.

The Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals finally responded through Jyoti Sihag in the 53kg women's bout, overcoming early challenges from Saarika with a strong second-period offense and a decisive Power Minute takedown to win 12–9. Momentum briefly shifted in the 86kg men's contest, where Mukul Dahiya edged out Vafaeipour Hadi Bakhtiar 8–5, despite a late push from his opponent.

Delhi solidified their victory in the 125kg men’s heavyweight contest, where Ronak narrowly defeated Rajat Ruhal 3–2 in a tactical battle, smartly managing the clock after regaining the lead via an activity point. The concluding bout of the match ended with a forfeit win for the Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals, marking the end of the contest.

This outcome keeps Delhi Dangal Warriors firmly in the hunt for a semifinal spot, while Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals exit PWL 2026 without a win. On the following day, UP Dominators will face Haryana Thunders in Matchday 12 of the PWL 2026.
