London, Aug 8 (NationPress) Ethan Nwaneri has officially signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal. This exceptionally skilled attacking midfielder has been part of the club since he was just eight years old, and he has now committed his future to the team after an impressive journey through the Hale End Academy and onto the first team.

Ethan made history by becoming the youngest player to appear for Arsenal’s men’s first team, simultaneously breaking records as the youngest player in English football history at just 15 years and 181 days in 2022. Last season, the England under-21 international achieved remarkable milestones.

He had an outstanding first full season at the senior level, making 37 appearances—16 of which were starting roles—and scoring nine goals. His initial two goals were scored against Bolton Wanderers in the League Cup, and he followed that with an impressive long-range goal at Preston North End in the next round, before netting his first Premier League goal against Nottingham Forest in November. Ethan became only the third player in history (after Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney) to score three Premier League goals before turning 18, just before he opened his Champions League account at Girona.

With the guidance of numerous academy coaches and fellow players, Ethan rapidly progressed through the youth ranks, making his England under-18 debut on his 18th birthday in May. He was then chosen for the England squad that clinched the European Under-21 Championship title in June 2025.
