The Sports Minister dedicated this campaign to the national effort against obesity.

At the event, the Sports Minister remarked, "In our battle against obesity, initiated by the PM, we must unite to integrate daily fitness routines into our lives. Cycling is the simplest form of exercise and significantly benefits the environment by reducing carbon footprints, making it a viable solution to pollution."

Every week, Fit India Sundays on Cycle features a unique set of participants, inviting guests such as army personnel, postmen, and wellness experts in previous editions. This week, corporate entities took a stand to endorse and engage in the campaign.

Regarding the significance of the initiative, Vidushpat Singhania, treasurer of Sportscom, CII, stated, "I applaud the Sports Minister for this initiative. A healthy India equates to a more prosperous India, as good health is directly correlated with enhanced productivity and increased GDP. Our objective as an industry body is to encourage more corporates to participate in Fit India Sundays on Cycle and back this movement."

Adding to the conversation, Neha Rastogi Mathur, secretary of Sports Committee, FICCI, expressed, "This initiative by the Sports Minister is commendable, and we are thrilled to take part in this movement today. Cycling is an excellent way to maintain fitness; it’s straightforward, enjoyable, and a family-friendly activity suitable for all generations."
