Gurugram (Haryana), April 26 (AINS) The Tamil Lioness and Punjabi Tigress have secured their spots in the semifinals of the women’s segment of the ongoing Global Indian Pravasi Kabaddi League (GI-PKL) at Gurugram University. The women’s league stage will conclude on Sunday, making it an essential day for the remaining four teams aiming to clinch the last two semifinal positions.

The Punjabi Tigress, Haryanvi Eagles, and Bhojpuri Leopardess each achieved victories in their respective matches on Friday.

In the opening match, the Haryanvi Eagles narrowly defeated the Marathi Falcons with a score of 29-28 in a thrilling encounter. This marked the Haryanvi Eagles' first triumph in the league.

Despite the Marathi Falcons leading in raid points (16), the Haryanvi Eagles excelled defensively, accumulating 15 tackle points and four super tackles. Their tenacity and all-out points were pivotal in achieving the narrow win, demonstrating remarkable determination in a match that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

In the next game, Bhojpuri Leopardess triumphed over Telugu Cheetahs with a score of 26-25.
