Gurugram (Haryana), April 22 (NationPress) Tamil Lions, Bhojpuri Leopards, and Punjabi Tigers achieved remarkable victories in men's matches during the ongoing 2025 edition of the Global Indian Pravasi Kabaddi League (GI-PKL) at Gurugram University on Tuesday.
In the opening match, Tamil Lions narrowly defeated Marathi Vultures with a score of 41-38 in a thrilling men’s contest. With an impressive tally of 23 raid points and three Super Tackles, Tamil Lions demonstrated exceptional determination. Marathi Vultures closely trailed with 20 raid points and four all-outs, but the solid defense from Tamil Lions during crucial moments secured their exciting three-point victory.
The second match saw Bhojpuri Leopards triumph over Telugu Panthers in a gripping encounter, finishing the game at 43-41. Although Telugu Panthers outscored them in raid points with 27, Bhojpuri Leopards excelled in tackles, earning 16 points and executing important all-outs.
Both teams performed a Super Raid, but it was Bhojpuri's well-rounded effort that clinched the narrow win in this electrifying matchup.
In the third game, Punjabi Tigers displayed their strength with a decisive 64-47 victory against Haryanvi Sharks. Dominating both the raid (34 points) and tackle (21 points) categories, Punjabi Tigers enforced six all-outs to assert their dominance.
