New Delhi, Nov 7 (NationPress) Australian cricket icon Ian Healy expressed his candid opinion regarding Cameron Green's inclusion in the first Ashes Test squad, asserting that he should not be part of the team if he is unable to bowl. Green, who is currently positioned at No. 3, has bowled merely four overs in competitive matches this summer following his back surgery. His anticipated return to bowling during the ODI series against India was thwarted due to a side complaint.
However, Healy believes that if Green is capable of batting despite his inability to bowl, then Beau Webster should take on both roles at No. 6 in the final lineup for the first Test.
“Guess who’s at the helm? It’s Cameron Green. Will he bat three and bowl, bat six and bowl, bat and not bowl, or simply sit out?” Healy remarked on SENQ Breakfast.
“Cameron Green must bowl 10 overs a day in the Sheffield Shield, and that’s all he is required to do to aid our three fast bowlers.
