The opening match witnessed an exhilarating showdown as South Africa chose to bat first after winning the toss. With a commendable innings from Teboho Moloisane, who scored 49 runs off 51 balls, South Africa posted a total of 145/7 in their 20 overs.
India, in reply, chased down the target with confidence, achieving 146/2 in a swift 11.3 overs, spearheaded by Malik’s impressive 82 runs. Manish Kumar also made a notable contribution, scoring 45 runs off 20 balls.
The Samarth Championship for Blind Cricket kicked off with a splendid inauguration ceremony followed by an action-packed opening match.
