Bengaluru, May 15 (NationPress) Team India has showcased its remarkable prowess in the 2nd edition of the Samarth Championship for Blind Cricket, achieving a commanding victory of 171 runs against South Africa at Sai Krishnan Cricket Stadium, Bengaluru. This triumph marks their fourth consecutive win in the league stage.
Choosing to bat first, India set a formidable target of 243/7 in 20 overs, spearheaded by an outstanding 102 off 43 balls from Sonu Rawat (B2) and a reliable 74 off 47 by Dinesh Rathva (B3).
In reply, South Africa faltered, collapsing to 72 all out in just 13.2 overs. The Indian bowlers, Gambheer Singh Chauhan and Devraj Pal, each claimed three wickets, expertly dismantling the opposition.
With a perfect record of four wins from four matches, India stands unbeaten and firmly in the lead, bolstering their chances for the title.
This series is a five-match international bilateral tournament involving the Indian Men’s Blind Cricket Team and the South African Men’s Blind Cricket Team.
