New Delhi, March 13 (NationPress) Continuing their remarkable journey from the opening day, Indian athletes displayed exceptional talent on the second day of the Special Olympics World Winter Games 2025. With a haul of two gold, two silver, and one bronze medal across two sports, India's overall medal count has now surged to nine.
In Snowboarding, which contributed four medals on the first day of the competition, India added two more achievements on Wednesday. Bharti (division F25) secured a gold medal in the Novice Slalom Final, while Harshita Thakur (division F26) captured a bronze in the same event. This victory marks Bharti's second gold medal of the tournament, while Harshita had previously earned a silver on the opening day.
The Indian team also shone in Alpine Skiing, achieving one gold and two silver medals in this discipline. Nirmala Devi (division F06) earned gold, while Radha Devi (division F01) took silver in the Intermediate Giant Slalom Final.
