ITF J300: Arnav Paparkar Triumphs to Reach Quarterfinals; Pranav Senthil Kumar and Maaya Rajshwaran Advance

New Delhi, Jan 8 (NationPress) Arnav Paparkar managed to overcome a puzzling second set downturn to defeat Croatia's Emanuel Ivanisevic, thereby earning his place in the quarterfinals of the boys' event at the ITF J300 tournament, joining top seed Pranav Senthil Kumar. Maaya Rajshwaran Revathi also made her way into the last eight of the girls' singles.
Arnav started strong by clinching the first set but faltered in the second, failing to win a game as the Croatian pushed the match into a deciding set. Fortunately, the young Indian regained his composure just in time, elevating his performance to finish the pre-quarterfinal match with a scoreline of 6-3, 0-6, 6-4. Credit to Ivanisevic, who challenged Arnav despite his slow start.
Also advancing to the quarterfinals were Senthil and Samarth Sahita. Senthil effortlessly defeated Alexey Shibaev with a score of 6-2, 6-3, while Samarth triumphed in an all-Indian match against Varun Verma, winning 6-4, 6-4.
Unfortunately, Hitesh Chauhan saw his campaign come to an end after a valiant effort, losing 4-6, 7-5, 3-6 to Damir Zhalgasbay from Kazakhstan. The fourth seed from Korea, Donghyun Hwang, along with his fellow countryman Hyeon Seok Seo, also moved to the quarterfinals. Hwang triumphed over Kazakhstan's Daniel Tazabekov with a score of 6-3, 6-0, while Seo eliminated the eighth seed Roman Kharlamov with a score of 6-4, 6-2.
Roshan Santosh (USA) and Arturs Zagras (LAT) completed the lineup for the quarterfinals, both achieving straight-set victories over Maximus Zavier Wong (SGP) and Kanata Ozaki (JPN).

Polina Berezina progressed after her Japanese opponent Yuka Naito withdrew mid-match. Polina was ahead 6-3, 1-0 when Naito opted out.
