Mumbai, June 1, 2025 (NationPress) – The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has named former Indian cricketer and seasoned coach Lalchand Rajput as the League Advisor for the upcoming T20 Mumbai League 2025. In addition, a specialized team of scouts has been established to assist him in enhancing talent identification and development.
Season 3 of the T20 Mumbai League is set to unfold at the Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Stadium from June 4 to 12.
The 63-year-old cricket veteran, who was the manager of the Indian team during their victorious T20I World Cup campaign in 2007, currently serves as the head coach of the United Arab Emirates national team. His coaching experience also includes stints with Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.
Rajput brings extensive expertise in both domestic and international cricket, having held multiple leadership and coaching positions throughout his career. As League Advisor, he will guide a talented group of scouts, including Sanjay Patil, Ghulam Parkar, Ravi Thakkar, and Musavir Khote — all esteemed members of Mumbai’s cricket community.

Season 3 of the T20 Mumbai League will see eight teams competing for the coveted title: North Mumbai Panthers (Horizon Sports India Private Limited), ARCS Andheri, Triumph Knights Mumbai North East, Bandra Blasters, Eagle Thane Strikers, Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs, SoBo Mumbai Falcons, and Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals.
