Mumbai, April 22 (NationPress) The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has officially designated the renowned Wankhede Stadium as the venue for the eagerly awaited T20 Mumbai League 2025. This league, recognized as one of India’s premier domestic T20 franchise tournaments, is set to kick off its third season from May 26 to June 8.
The T20 Mumbai League serves as a competitive stage for rising talents, aspiring to uncover the future stars of cricket. In its past two seasons, the league has showcased players like Shivam Dube, Tushar Deshpande, and Shams Mulani, who have achieved remarkable feats in India’s domestic T20 arena.
In a commendable initiative, the MCA will host underprivileged children and students from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) schools, granting them the chance to witness the exhilarating matches during the 14-day tournament featuring eight teams.
“The T20 Mumbai League has revolutionized cricket not only in the city but also across India. The last two seasons highlighted numerous players who delivered outstanding performances and made significant impacts on the national level.

Recently, the MCA named India’s captain and Mumbai’s own Rohit Sharma as the official ambassador for Season 3, enhancing the tournament's appeal. Already, over 2,800 players have registered for Season 3, showcasing the enthusiasm within Mumbai’s cricketing community.
The tournament will continue to feature eight franchises -- North Mumbai Panthers (Horizon Sports India Private Limited), ARCS Andheri (Arcs Sports & Entertainment Private Limited), Triumph Knights Mumbai North East (Transcon Triumph Knights Private Limited), Namo Bandra Blasters (PK Sports Ventures Private Limited), Eagle Thane Strikers (Eagle Infra India Ltd.) and Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs (World Star Premier League LLP) along with two new teams SoBo Mumbai Falcons (Roadway Solutions India Infra Ltd.) and Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals (Royal Edge Sports & Entertainment).
